Residential Dog Training

Matt has been a dog trainer for nearly 10 years. As well as working with some of the top trainers in the world, Matt has also spent time as a specialist detection dog handler working and training dogs on government contracts across Europe. His knowledge and experience, combined with his up to date and ethical approach to training will ensure your dog is in the best possible hands. 
 
Matt will take away the stresses you have been under with your dogs training. He will work on the training objectives agreed, and leave you with a clear training plan to continue your dogs development following the residential stay.
 
Unlike other companies we do not have a pyramid scheme of trainers, and therefore you are not guilt tripped into spending more to receive a better standard of service. We offer one residential service and that is of the highest possible quality.

  • We specialise in working with particular training objectives.
Whilst our dog training and behaviour services work with all issues, from basic obedience to reactivity (dog and human), there are certain areas we feel are better suited to our 1-2-1 consultations where we work with you and your dog.  For this reason our residential service will not take reactive dogs, or separation anxiety cases.   • As a company we are set up to provide EVERYTHING your dog needs.
We have a large team, containing experience in many aspects of dog handling and care. From qualified groomers, professional dog walkers, and even our own daycare centre. This puts us in a position to be able to offer many aspects of socialisation, in environments that WE control, including two fully secure private woodlands. As well as this we obviously have a variety of training courses and clinics on-going. This all means that whilst Matt will be working with your dog daily, we also have other skilled members of the team who can assist where necessary, ensuring your dog gets to work with multiple handlers, which is crucial for a smooth handover at the end of their stay. 

  • Home Boarding included.
As you will notice from our website, we do not use kennels. Home Boarding means just that, your dog will enjoy the luxury of our home. Licensed with Guildford Borough Council with a 5* rating, we are proud to offer your dogs some of the most comfortable accommodation around. Just what they will need whilst resting and downloading all of their newly learnt information. Your dogs stay is included in the price, (usually £35.00 per night) you just need to provide your dogs usual food.

We work with all dogs from 8 weeks old

  • A detailed hand over.
Possibly the most important part of the entire process. As well as all the training plans, videos and information sheets we have used during your dogs stay, you will receive a 1-2-1 hand over. This handover will take place at a mutually agreed location, and we will go through everything your dog has learnt during their stay. The point of this session is that you go away 100% happy with what you need to do to keep improving your dogs training objectives.  Full email support is also available from our training team.

  • Will I get updates on my dogs progress?
Absolutely! During your dogs training sessions we will film the progress where possible. This way we can send you update videos every few days, as well as the odd cute picture we get along the way too. We also have a very interactive FB page which we are happy to upload progress videos/pictures on​ should you wish. 
Our prices are per week, with a 2 week minimum stay.
​Weeks run from Saturday-Saturday. All prices are inclusive of VAT. 

Initial 2 Week stay: £1900 
(This is inclusive of the £490.00 home boarding fee)

Week 3 & additional weeks : £850 

*We recommend most people look at the option of a 3 week stay. A two week stay is a good amount of time to break old habits, put the foundations in place for the behaviours we wish to see, however doesn't give us the time to really get down to proofing them in a variety of situations and environments.*
