Undesirable behaviour rarely appears out of nowhere and usually has a trigger and/or is being reinforced by something.

I can highly recommend Catherine for her excellent advice, support and practical guidance for help with behavioural issues your dog may have. The initial consultation was thorough, preceded by a detailed questionnaire (which we filled out before she came - time spent on this was well worth it as it gave Catherine information to assess our specific needs and identify how she could quickly put us on the right track.

Catherine was patient and explained everything clearly and took the time to show us the techniques and watched us work on them so we knew we were carrying them out correctly. Throughout the process she was on hand via phone and email if we needed extra advice and encouragement to persevere even after a bad day.

Since implementing all Catherine's techniques we have noticed a massive improvement in his behaviour and also our confidence. He is our first dog and Catherine's help has provided us with information on dog behaviour that has helped us bond with him better.

Catherine has been amazing! We don’t know what we would have done without her!
She has helped our dog (Scarlett) with various issues like wetting in the house, aggression on the lead towards other dogs and nervousness around people. We were new dog owners and wanted assurance that the home set up and training we had in place was right and would not encourage any bad habits, especially as we had a large breed. Catherine was wonderfully informative and supportive. She spent more time than expected with us and Bunker (our Rottweiler), making sure that the feeding, bed, grooming and training we had started was right. She had great top tips and knowledge to stop any bad behaviours in a positive manner before they had even started. This gave us the confidence we needed, it was now just a matter of putting the time and hard work in and remaining consistent. There was also a follow up visit to check on our progress and see if any other little challenges had come up. I would thoroughly recommend an initial puppy home visit and Take The Lead Services in general for all dog owners.
